Jared Hobbs MSc is a Registered Professional Biologist and wildlife photographer based in Victoria, British Columbia. He has worked throughout the province on many of British Columbia's rarest species and was the 2006 recipient of the international Shikar-Safari conservation award for his dedication to the preservation of species and ecosystems. Jared has been studying and photographing endangered species since graduating from UBC in 1994 (see scientific publications). In 2007 he published his first book with Douglas and McIntyre. Jared continues to strive to increase his knowledge of North America's flora and fauna, capturing unique images of wildlife in their natural habitats to increase public awareness.
